Palisade Trumpet Collective

Palisade Trumpet Collective was founded in 2021 to engage audiences through the exploration and evolution of music for trumpet ensemble. Each member of the ensemble is a distinguished performer, professor, and pedagogue from universities across the United States. Education is a staple of Palisade’s creative vocation, and it is our goal to reach new audiences with the power and beauty of the trumpet.

Palisade Trumpet Collective is fluent across multiple genres and periods, and comfortable in many performance platforms. Arrangements of non-traditional brass repertoire, and commissions of New Music for trumpet ensemble are bedrock goals for the ensemble.

The Palisade Trumpet Collective has enjoyed guest artist residencies at numerous institutions including the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp (Belgium), Codarts University of the Arts (The Netherlands), University of North Texas, Florida State University, the University of Kentucky, the University of Tennessee, Baylor University, Texas Tech University, the University of Florida, and the University of Central Florida to name a few.

The ensemble has been hailed by hosts with praise including “nothing short of spectacular… seamlessly blending technical precision with emotional depth… an inspired and highly polished performance… demonstrated a high level of integrity toward contemporary American compositions.”

The Palisade Trumpet Collective’s debut album, Sojourn, released in March 2024 on the Mark Records label has garnered significant acclaim. The album includes new commissions by Catherine McMichael and Jasmine Pigott, and several other never before recorded works for trumpet ensemble.
